The Event

International Peace Day is observed around the world every year on September 21st. The aim is to bring international solidarity and although we are still a long way from that target, we are making progress every day. While you're running for this event, have a think about how you can add to a peaceful world for you and others around you. You have a choice of 5km, 10km and 21.1km to run or walk in a single activity in September to earn this funky medal.

The Reward

This colourful medal is sure to brighten up your medal wall/room. We have used the famous peace sign (for nuclear disarmament) as the backdrop to the medal with colourful flowers to symbolise peace and hope. Your medal will show the distance that you chose in the centre of one of the flowers.

The Prizes

For the Peace Day virtual run, we will be giving away 10 lucky draw Prize Boxes of RFTW goodies worth £25. All runners who complete their chosen distance will be entered into the draw for a chance to win these great prizes.

The Charities

10% of your entry fee to this event will be sent to the Run For The World Charity Pot. The total raised will be shared equally between our two amazing charities chosen for 2021. These are The Third Age Trust and Anthony Nolan. If you know of a charity that would be interested in partnering with us for 2022, please feel free to email us at
